2006 is another stellar year that can be marked as owned by hip hop/r&b producer timbaland. a 10+ long year career of making phat beats and sounds has accumulated to the succession of phantastic tracks released this year. infectious and influential, the timbaland sound, has pioneered new ground in the urban scene. this of course is helped by recruiting established artists that are willing to experiment. the result, the mainstream ears love it.

wikked hits like nelly furtado "promiscuous girl" or justin timberlake "sexyback" have dominated club speakers all summer. signature hard drum beats and obscure electronic sound effects are timbaland's musical foundation for all his songs. miss furtado signed on to timba's music label "mosley music group" and benefited immediately with her self-redefining album "loose". timba produced the majority of the tracks. same with mr. timberlake's futuresex/lovesounds album.
