i'm currently on a business trip in the birthplace of syzurp. houston is the home of the rockets, the texans, and nasa space centre. suv's devour the roads here and one of my bosses lives three doors down from slim thug.
first thing i noticed was that there are very few asians around, although houston is visibly culturally diverse. and yes i like the attention.
world class restaurants reside in space city, my first venture was pappa deaux seafood kitchen. the crab cakes rock, the alligator tastes like chicken, and the texas redfish (see picture) was too big to finish. everything here is super-sized, the people, the cars, and the portion sizes.
p.s. eating is my favorite travelling pasttime.
